ABOUT ABOUT

A new wave of architects and design studios are transforming our cities with temporary installations and sustainable structures. How important are these in our environments? Who do they benefit? Why is community engagement important? How do we get individuals interested in architecture?

Protein moderates a forum in conversation with:

Mariana Pestana and The Decorators are an interactive design studio who design experiences that invite people to engage with objects and architecture

Pooja Agrawal of We Made That is an energetic architect whose work focuses on the role of art, architecture and design in the built environment.

Victoria Thornton OBE established Open City London—a firm focused on the importance of well-designed spaces to making a liveable and vibrant city. Since starting the organization 20 years ago as a non-profit, she has pioneered and developed many key architectural initiatives including Open House London

Sam Hill works with Pan Studio – an "experience production" specialist and design agency interested in how people experience physical products and less tangible interactions, best known for their Watershed winning project, Hello Lamp Post, an experimental, city-wide platform for play; allowing the public to communicate with urban objects like lampposts, mailboxes, and bus stops via text message.

RSVP required.

One part TED-style talks, one part discussion, and one part social club, Protein ® Forums are quarterly events that focus on topical themes and will feature some of the biggest thinkers in the industry. They are designed to inspire and provoke, and will cover the most relevant issues and topics that are changing consumer behaviour.
